Probate
Crane Dunham PLLC frequently represents families when a loved one has passed. This often results in the filing of a probate proceeding in superior court and appointing an executor or administrator who has authority to negotiate, to settle or to pay creditors and to collect and transfer assets on behalf of the deceased. We assist the executor or administrator (often called personal representative) to distribute the estate according to the deceased’s last wishes as expressed in his or her will or trust. Sometimes, we are forced to handle probate disputes or other litigation related to handling the probate.
